Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • 1 pkg. (8 squares) semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Directions

  2. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 min. or until golden brown. Remove from baking sheets to wire racks; cool completely. Dip cooled cookies halfway into melted chocolate; immediately sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cereal to resemble bear paws. Place on wax paper-lined tray. Let stand until chocolate is firm. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature. Makes about 5 doz. cookies.

Storage Know-How: Separate each layer of cookies in storage container with wax paper or parchment paper to prevent cookies from sticking to each other.
